41. How to feel less busy & more balanced

41. How to feel less busy & more balanced

One month ago, my friend Nikki & I hosted a sold-out workshop focused on helping attendees go from the busy chaos of summer to feeling more balanced and centered into fall.

The most ironic part of this experience was just 2 days before, we had a big storm in Northeast Ohio where both of us lost power for a few days. Preparing for an event is stressful enough, on top of being thrown off routine and some not-so-great nights of sleep? #Godspeed

Today, I’m sharing a recap of the success of our workshop which included beginner yoga, guided meditation, yummy bites, local vendors, and a teaching-style keynote I gave to help attendees build an action plan for when they get to a stress level that feels unmanageable. Instead of encouraging you to slow down and say yes to less (even though those things are true), I’m taking a unique approach to sharing tactical advice for those of you juggling a thousand things and how to find sanity in the midst instead of always taking the easy way out.

As the old saying goes, “A jack of all trades is a master at one, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”

40. The mindset you need to get excited about your fitness routine

40. The mindset you need to get excited about your fitness routine

Most people think of exercising as a chore- Just another thing added to your to do list stacked on top of 20 things that you already don’t have enough time in the day to get done.

I have a different perspective given that fitness has been a major part of my routine for the last 12 years. In fact, it’s the center of my grounding routine as the quality and effort that I give during my workouts determines the quality and effort I give to every other area of my life.

I truly don’t believe movement is something you have to dread. Actually, quite the opposite. I’ve found the easiest way to stick to self-discipline is to trick yourself into enjoying the activity, at least for a little while until you genuinely find yourself looking forward to intentionally moving your body each week. This episode will teach you how.

38. Mindful + productive ways to spend your free time (not what you think)

38. Mindful + productive ways to spend your free time (not what you think)

You might be thinking today’s episode will include a laundry list of ways to junk up your free time with mile-long to-do lists and unrealistic expectations of how productivity in your limited time spent not working.

But you’ll be pleasantly surprised to hear my perspective on how doing nothing / traditional “time-wasters” can actually be a blessing in disguise if you’re doing what you love!

And if you are genuinely looking for better ways to spend free time to avoid the endless Tiktok doom scroll, there’s also a handful of practical tools for you.

Today’s episode is about releasing the guilt of “being lazy” and enjoying the practice of just existing, a lost art that we need a reminder of every once in awhile.
